Lloyd Family (minus one) @ Beachfest '03!
In late February 2003, Brad called-into a local Christian
Radio Station and won a qualifying
chance to be included in a drawing for a trip for four to see Luis
Palau's Beachfest 2003 held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Long story
short... He WON! Since the trip was for 4 people (and there are 5 in our
family), we talked it over with
the kids and our youngest (Grace) volunteered to stay home with her Grandma Grange (who
volunteered to come from Boise). Here are the pictures from our great
adventure...

The Skate Park was built by our Portland friend; Paul Anderson. He also
shared the Gospel
during the middle of the pro skate demo. On the lower left, see skate
legend Lance
Mountain.

The trip we won was co-sponsored by Portland Christian Radio Stations; KPDQ
and 104.1 The Fish.
Our trip host was radio personality: Dave
Arthur (pictured in the yellow shirt). We had a great
time together!

Saturday's crowd totaled some 200,000 people! It was a very warm day (93
degrees-- a record high)
Sunday saw some 100,000 attendees (the numbers were cut down by a very wet
Florida monsoon rain storm).
Chris' Favorite Band: Jump5...

Chris at the Beach and on the River... what a neat place!

We took a little river tour on one of the local "Water
Buses" (pictured below). Above, see the cool
high-tech draw bridge and one of the riverfront mansions with a "Beachfest"
banner!

Mt. Hood (Oregon)... We were almost home!
We had a fantastic time in Florida... seeing old friends and
making many new ones!
We praise God for this special blessing!
